The Collaroy Centre is a unique facility conveniently located just half an hour’s drive from Sydney CBD and a stone’s throw from Collaroy Beach. Operating year-round, we offer a wide range of high-quality outdoor adventure activities, fully equipped venue spaces, group catering, and high-capacity accommodation.
Nestled amidst the lush bushland of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, our purpose-built facility attracts diverse groups. It’s here that shared experiences, personal growth, and lasting relationships are fostered, making each visit to The Collaroy Centre truly special.
A simple act of kindness from a Salvation Army soldier is why The Collaroy Centre exists today. A cup of tea made for an ill, elderly lady named Elizabeth Jenkins led to an ongoing association between the Salvos and Jenkins family, with several parcels of land gifted to The Salvation Army upon her death.
Used as a campsite since 1906, the location saw its first building in 1912 with the campus as we know it today completed in 1988. The Collaroy Centre sits proudly atop the land gifted by Elizabeth Jenkins over a century ago.
The Collaroy Centre is still owned and run by The Salvation Army, which aims to continue impacting lives by growing and valuing people. In addition to hosting camps, birthday parties, conferences, and retreats, we seek to assist the needy by running and investing in mission programs.
The Collaroy Centre acknowledges the Garigal people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work and pay our respect to Elders past, present and future.
We value and include people of all cultures, languages, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and intersex status. We are committed to providing programs that are fully inclusive. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of people of all ages, particularly children.
Our team is the heart and soul of our Centre. Every individual, from our booking coordinators to our ground staff, play an equally vital role in creating exceptional experiences.
